Last night, some lucky San Diego women were treated to free makeovers by the genius stylists at Bellus Academy courtesy of Broke but Bougie. What a fun event! Broke but Bougie is a fun lifestyle blog aimed at young women struggling in this economy to find fun and inexpensive ways to still look and feel fabulous! It's filled with fun recipes, beauty, and shopping tips. I chatted for a bit with Bridget, the founder, and she stated that the idea for the blog came from her dilemma at being fresh out of college with a tiny income, and struggling with career and life balance. She wanted to create a space where women would share ideas about how to live the good life on a budget! Check it out!

Gourmet crackers were served by Milton's.
And drinks were served courtesy of Nika water and Go Girl, a new energy drink targeted specifically to women.
And scrumptious cakes by Nothing Bundt Cakes! Pumpkin Spice with cream cheese, yum!
But the most fun part of the night? The makeovers! The stylists from Bellus Academy were showing their stuff and giving free makeup and hair styles to the attendees. It was a blast!

Wow! This blog looks just like my old one! It's on a completely different subject but it has pretty much the same page layout and design. Excellent choice of colors!
