Amaya ... with a newborn

Remember when I went to Amaya at the Grand Del Mar last year

Things were a little different this time!



Amaya is very welcoming to families, and we went early so that we wouldn't be a disturbance. Gourmet items were eaten with one hand, while the other held my darling baby!



Delicious duck confit and pumpkin soup with lobster appetizers.

Main courses of a Tuscan-style pork chop with cannellini beans and dark gravy. The other main course was a duck breast served on top of a squash polenta. So good!


Desserts were amazing as well, with a lemon ice cream pie, and the s'mores pot du creme! 

I love Restaurant Week, and it was interesting and wonderful to bring my baby girl along for our first big outing. I know that we won't always be able to eat where we want (Chick-fil-a and McDonald's have the best play areas!), but it was a very nice treat to partake in a beautiful meal with my favorite people!
