Fig Tree Cafe

This time of year, it's easy to get caught up in all of our things to do. Even if you don't celebrate the holidays, the end of the year signifies a busy time of tying loose ends for the year. But in this bustle, I wanted to share a bit of goodwill that is being made possible by Fig Tree Cafe.

Fig Tree’s Wounded Warrior Project Christmas Dinner, is an annual event that serves San Diego’s large military population with gratitude and acknowledgement of the sacrifices they’ve made for our country. The dinner, which will be held onDecember 25th at 2:00 and 3:00 p.m., will give many veterans the opportunity to enjoy a Christmas dinner with their family that they otherwise would not have had.

The annual feast is held in collaboration with the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that empowers veterans and their families by providing support for the mind and body, and encouraging economic empowerment and engagement. This year, Fig Tree will be serving a traditional Christmas dinner to 200 veterans and their families. The meal will consist of a menu of hearty Christmas favorites, many of which were thoughtfully donated by neighboring restaurants.
