Christmas at Del Mar Highlands

Families are invited to stroll the Center and enjoy Del Mar Highlands Town Center’s ’Tis the Sea Sun’s exciting interactive décor.  New to the Center this year is the towering 36-foot Christmas tree made of 44 surfboards with inlaid LED lights with light and music shows every 30 minutes and a spectacular 15-foot surfing Santa pulled by four of his reindeer on top of The Sky Deck roof.  At this new community gathering space at the south end of the Center, guests will also get to see the recently unveiled 16-foot “Drifter” whale fountain installation created by artist Matt Torrens.

Guests can enjoy a conversation with “Delmer” the talking penguin, take a tour inside a gigantic igloo, snap a selfie with huge festive starfish, send wish lists to the North Pole with letters to Santa, drive through a lit-candy cane forrest with sparkling stars and take a photo in Santa’s red beach chair with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Families can enjoy holiday performances by kids band, Hullabaloo.

There are brand new tenants ready to be explored for holiday shopping, including the recently opened Jimbo’s and Little Apple, in addition to Vuori, Tucci Boutique, and Rumeur Lingerie set to open mid-late November. Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus on select dates throughout the season. Participants can tag #TisTheSeaSun for the chance to be featured on Del Mar Highlands Town Center’s social media.
